Langdale Moonshine Ale
A new pale ale from Cumbrian Legendary Ales celebrates the rich history of moonshining in the Langdales. Throughout the 18th and into the 19th century moonshiners plied their trade at night in the remotest corners of the north of England. One of the most infamous in Cumbria was Lanty Slee who lived and worked in the Langdales. Lanty's (name short for Lancelot) charmed career continued for many years until he was betrayed by a partner. For a long time after his death remnants of his secret stills were regularly discovered during quarrying and mining operations.
Langdale Moonshine Ale is 4.4% Abv pale ale made from specially prepared Maris Otter Malt and is flavoured with Amarillo hops, making it a fresh, fruity refreshing beer.
