A long held dream to start their own microbrewery became a reality for David and Liz Newham when, together with their partners David and Gill Frost, they launched Cumbrian Legendary Ales in June 2006.

At various stages of the renovation strangely dressed figures were observed and heard to say such things as "It's going to cost HOW much!"

"Can you see what it is yet?"

"You sure about those wellies!"
